Introduction

Application

Functions

Functions

With AIR you can perform emission tests, make readouts of fault codes and OBFCM and more. Below you can read more about our and how it works and you can also test drive the application via a demo.

Vehicle selection

A vehicle selection is required to be able to perform certain functions eg. System Scan (not required for Emissions test and OBFCM). When brand, model, year and fuel type has been selected, the CONTINUE button is enabled. It´s also possible to select Engine which is optional. By selecting Engine, for some vehicles, it can decrease the time for a System Scan. The arrows in the bottom left can be used to navigate back and forth in the vehicle selection.

Connection guide

Connection guide helps you to find the socket location in the vehicle as well as providing other useful information eg. how to switch on the ignition etc. A complete vehicle selection is required for this connection guide to be shown.

Emissions Test (EOBD)

General information

Emissions Test is used to read out data from the vehicle’s built-in statutory diagnostic function. The primary function of which is to monitor emission-related components’ function. In Europe this standard is called EOBD, in the USA it is called OBD2, and in Japan it is called JOBD.

Information

Following information is presented:

  • VIN
  • MIL status
  • Distance driven while MIL active
  • Communication standard
  • OBD version

Readiness tests (ECU)

Tests for supported ECUs where the different values can be performed or not performed.

Fault codes (DTC)

Fault codes from the ECUs which supports the EOBD standard. They are shown with ECU-number, fault code number, as well as a description of the fault code.

Erase fault codes

With this function you can erase fault codes and diagnostic information. This function not only erase fault codes, it also resets the readiness tests. To perform the readiness tests again, the car has to be run through driving cycles. Some tests are more advanced than other, and therefore take longer time to complete.

On-Board Fuel (Energy) Consumption Monitoring (OBFCM)

The actual fuel and energy consumption under real-world driving conditions.

Supported modes

  • Mode$01, PID$01

System Scan

The function scan through all the control systems (ECUs) and reads out stored fault codes. The result is presented for all the systems. To be able to perform a System Scan, brand, model, year and fuel type must be selected.

After performed System Scan click on the arrow for each system type and navigate further to see the fault codes. It is possible to erase fault codes by clicking the ERASE DTCS button. All systems with fault codes will be erased. After erasing fault codes a complete System Scan will automatically be performed.

Identification

With a scan, you can now finally detect the act of illegally manipulated odometers on a vehicle. With the identification report, you can be sure that you will not fall victim to vehicle fraud.

• Smart and easy scan
• Ensure good business
• Avoid being scammed
• Saved and increased cash flow
• The identification report is easy to read and understand

Contact your local distributor for more information.

Save & print report

To be able to give the customer the results from eg. System Scan, Emissions Test etc. it is possible to save and/or print a report from the result page via the print button. The report is saved as a PDF file.

All the performed functions will not be in the same report. For every performed function you need to save a separate report.

Demo mode

In demo mode you can try out some of the functions that are available in Autocom AIR. To be able to run demo mode a user account and an ICON (added to the system) is required.
